The challenge
Originally known as Daceys, The PTH Group began as a specialist in bespoke orthopaedic footwear, working closely with GPs and physiotherapists to create custom configurations for patients. As demand grew, they expanded into high-volume, off-the-shelf orthopaedic products, which led to significant growth and a shift in how they traded.
At the time, they were operating as a family firm using a simple accounting solution alongside a legacy bespoke database that had become outdated and unreliable. With multiple businesses under one umbrella and increasingly complex transactions, they needed a scalable solution that could streamline operations, improve visibility, and support future growth. On the advice of their accountant, they engaged with Techsol, a well-known Sage partner to explore a Sage ERP.

With support from government grants and funding, The PTH Group upgraded to Sage 200 Professional, including additional modules such as Advanced Procurement (APO).

They’re now exploring further enhancements like warehouse management, web integration, and barcoding – all aimed at future-proofing their business and supporting long-term growth.
The result
The PTH Group has seen significant benefits since moving to their new Sage ERP, such as improved visibility of purchase orders and their status, a key enhancement for supply chain efficiency. This has enabled better stock control and procurement planning. Internally, the new solution has helped streamline routines and establish a more robust foundation for continued expansion.
