How Sage 200 Professional helped The PTH Group future-proof their business

The PTH Group, based in South Wales, is a family-run group of healthcare businesses including Daceys, Orthotix, Ace Feet In Motion, and The Healthcare Hub. Their group vision is to improve access to affordable healthcare products and services, supporting the health and wellbeing of communities across the UK and Ireland. As manufacturers and suppliers of medical equipment to hospitals and healthcare providers, their operations are both complex and fast-growing.

The challenge

Originally known as Daceys, The PTH Group began as a specialist in bespoke orthopaedic footwear, working closely with GPs and physiotherapists to create custom configurations for patients. As demand grew, they expanded into high-volume, off-the-shelf orthopaedic products, which led to significant growth and a shift in how they traded.

 

At the time, they were operating as a family firm using Sage 50 alongside a legacy bespoke database that had become outdated and unreliable. With multiple businesses under one umbrella and increasingly complex transactions, they needed a scalable solution that could streamline operations, improve visibility, and support future growth. On the advice of their accountant, they engaged with Techsol to explore Sage 200.
